Equipment, Software & Expenses Needs

What we are currently using for equipment

  • Canon 2R 65 Camcorder – DV with hand-held microphone-**Borrowed so it is not to be taken to New Mexico**
  • Canon Powershot SD 1400 IS (in pink)
  • Mellissa Lucia uses a Canon Powershot SD 600-**lost the charger so M has no camera now** (also she killed both her Canon G9 and brand new G11 doing her Painted Body work on the land)
  • Photoshop 5.5 (2001)
  • Windows Movie Maker (a combo of XP and Windows 7 to get certain things from each-**and requires switching back and forth between 2 computers and the patience of a SAINT**}

General Expenses

  • Gas Money & Ferries –  $450
  • Photobooth machine costs $55
  • Memory/back-up for large amount of footage $430
  • Contingency – $800 (for bribes and kickbacks 😉 )

Travel Expenses (August, 2011)

  • Plane Tickets – $450
  • Lodging – $400
  • NM – We need to rent a car and possibly some equipment – $250
  • Gas Money – $100

Equipment Expenses

  • Canon SLR Camera & Lenses D5 or D7- $1800
  • Canon Camera G11- $500
  • Crane – (not necessary but would be nice) – $400
  • Memory –  $200
  • Lighting – $100
  • Computer – $1000
  • Zoom Microphone – $600

Software

  • CS + Premier or Avid- $1500 – 1700

Total – $9,235

Estimated Festival Expenses for Toronto & Amsterdam (3 days each)

  • Toronto  – $3,400
  • Amsterdam – $4,500

Total – $7,900

Salaries (we wish!)

  • 5 months of full time work + for 2 people  – $32,000

Equipment and Salaries Total – $ 49,135 (we have it on great authority that $200,000 is the lowest budget for a comparative film).
